UNLINE CLASSIC / BOSS BATTLES

Your challenge.
Your victory.

The Solo Boss System rework.

Take on bosses on your own terms. Boss Battles now brings Normal and Solo together in one window, with separate progression, ten difficulty levels and encounter rules adapted for one challenger. Room mechanics are switched off for selected Solo encounters, allowing you to focus on the fight. Check the boss-specific rules below.

WATCH / THE NEW INTERFACE

Normal or Solo. Compare before you enter.

Watch Drume's Boss Battles window switch between modes, showing the health, damage and reward previews for each encounter.

Recorded before the new balance adjustment: this clip shows Solo at 65% health and direct damage. Solo now uses 50% of Normal for both; loot remains at 65% of final Normal chances.

01 / THE NEW WINDOW

Know the encounter before you enter.

Use the boss lever to open Boss Battles, select the purple Solo tab, and choose an unlocked difficulty. The window shows the boss's health, damage multiplier, time limit and possible rewards before you commit.

  1. Leave your party: Solo accepts one player.
  2. Check your access: level requirements, PvP lock and the boss cooldown still apply.
  3. Choose your difficulty: review its stats, rewards and encounter-specific rules.
  4. Challenge the boss: the entry button confirms the selected Solo difficulty.
02 / BALANCE UPDATE

A more approachable solo fight.

Solo boss health and direct attack damage now use 50% of Normal at the same difficulty, down from 65%. That is approximately 23.1% less health and damage than the previous Solo settings.

PREVIOUS SOLO65%
CURRENT SOLO BALANCE50%

Both percentages compare health and direct damage against Normal at the same difficulty.

For example, a boss with 1,000,000 HP in Normal now has 500,000 HP in the new Solo balance, instead of 650,000 HP. A direct attack of 1,000 before defenses scales to 500 instead of 650.

The adjustment applies across all ten difficulties. Solo loot chances, victory EXP rules, time limits and progression are unchanged. Fights already underway keep the values they started with.

03 / YOUR OWN PROGRESSION

Climb from Difficulty I to X.

Each boss has independent Normal and Solo progress. Win the previous Solo difficulty to unlock the next one. A Solo victory advances your Solo track; it does not unlock the matching Normal tier.

Higher difficulties increase the challenge and reward modifiers, while reducing the available time. The difficulty cards clearly distinguish completed, available and locked tiers. Check the preview for the exact values of the fight you are about to enter.

Your existing Normal progress is preserved. Solo has its own unlocks and completion counter.

04 / BUILT FOR ONE CHALLENGER

Room mechanics off for supported bosses.

This is an encounter-specific adaptation: other bosses can keep their phases, summons and room mechanics. The Solo tab explains the rules before you enter.

Timira the Many-Headed
Stays vulnerable; room mechanics are disabled.
Drume, Grand Master Oberon, Keeper of Secrets and Abyssal King
Room mechanics are disabled in Solo.
Urbatulhu the Combustor
Uses one red vortex under the boss. Basin mechanics remain active, with no summons.
Other encounters
Retain their original phases, summons and room mechanics unless the Solo description specifies otherwise.

Solo is a dedicated way to progress through the encounter, with the boss's individual rules shown before entry.

05 / REWARDS YOU CAN PREVIEW

See what you are fighting for.

The rewards panel shows adjusted item chances for the selected difficulty, alongside the configured victory EXP. Personal and global bonuses are included in the preview; contribution and encounter reward rules still apply.

The easier health and damage settings do not introduce another loot reduction. You keep the existing Solo reward rules while fighting a less punishing encounter.

A clearer and more reliable boss window

  • Distinct Normal and Solo tabs with their own progress displays.
  • Health, damage, time and reward previews for every difficulty.
  • Entry checks repeated when you challenge the boss.
  • Improved handling of reopening, repeated requests and expired entry information.
  • The updated client reads the Solo health and damage comparison from the server's values, keeping the labels aligned with the balance in use.
